Common questions

Do these work for Instagram Stories too?
Yes — 9:16 vertical works for Stories, Reels, and IGTV. Just upload to Instagram.
How long should a Reel be?
Reels of 7-15s tend to get the most reach. Generate 10s or stitch two 5s clips.
Can I add captions?
Yes, in Studio: captions and the end card are rendered by Peeka exactly as you type them, Arabic included. One-tap effects and Create clips come without captions.
Do I need an account to try it?
Not always. While today's free guest clips last, you can make one effect clip without an account; it carries a small Peeka watermark. When they're gone, sign up: new accounts get 10 free credits, enough for one standard 5-second clip, with no watermark.
Can I use a photo of my face?
Yes. Add a clear, well-lit photo of your face to any effect, on Create or in Studio; no check is needed. If you like, verify your face once (about a minute, on the Verify page) to reuse it everywhere without adding a photo each time. Only use photos of yourself or of people who agreed to appear, never anyone else's photo without their permission, and no public figures. The safety check may still turn down some photos, for example of children or public figures, and you're never charged for a clip that fails.
How long does a clip take?
Usually 1–2 minutes per clip; effects take about a minute. Longer and HD clips can take a little more. You can leave the page: when you're signed in, finished clips are saved in My clips.
Can I use my clips commercially?
Yes. You keep ownership of what you make and can use it commercially, as long as you follow the Acceptable use policy: no defamation, no misleading fakes of real people, no copyright infringement. See the Terms for details.
